Do you want to make more money, be your own boss, and have the world hate you? Then use the PharmaFlip system to get rich with pharmaceuticals!
In the 90s and early 2000s late night television was full of infomercials selling schemes and strategies to make money. From house flipping to selling crap in classified ads, people were hawking systems and strategies all night long. So maybe if folks like Martin Shkreli, the infamous Pharma Bro whose company jacked up the price of a drug vital to the elderly and AIDS paitients, were more up front like these 90s hucksters, we wouldn’t find them so hatable.
I tried to capture the magic of those late-night 90s ads, complete with terrible corporate music. And since I’ve done terrible corporate music in other weeks of 52 Sellout I was worried I might not be able to create more. Well, it turns out my reserves of MIDI cheesiness are deeper than I gave myself credit for. I even found a new horn patch that was so cheesy I thought it may be coming from a Casio keyboard I bought at Radio Shack.
Also, I decided to display the whole video in 4:3 format to stick with the retro theme. That’s the kind of attention to detail we here at 52 Sellout are committed to! I hope you appreciate it, and I hope you enjoy this week’s episode!
