So how does Star Wars tie in with Nissan exactly? Who cares? Star Wars!
Movie tie-ins have been getting more and more ridiculous every year. We’ve had Progressive Insurance sponsoring Star Trek (because they have great starship policies) and we have the current Nissan tie-in with the new Star Wars movie Rogue One.
Let’s just admit that these companies are paying to access the emotional connection the fans have with the film in hopes that it will lead those fans to buying something. And hey! Maybe you can get an SUV with Star Wars Stuff on it!
