On Nov. 21, 2006 I posted the Pachelbel Rant on the then-new video sharing site YouTube. In the 20 years since, the video has been viewed millions of times, people have translated it into several languages, it’s been played in music education classes from middle school to college composition courses, and it’s led to so many interesting connections and opportunities.
In November of 2026 I’m celebrating the 20th anniversary with a show full of music, stories, fun facts, and songs. And the best part is, you can watch from anywhere in the world! If you’re near NYC you should definitely come out to Caveat, a great venue on the Lower East Side, near the spots I performed at in the late 90s when I was developing the Pachelbel piece.
And if you can’t make it to NYC, the live streaming setup at Caveat is first-rate, with multiple cameras and a live director, with great sound and audience mics so you feel like you’re in the room. And the live stream video is available for 7 days after the show, so even if you’re not available on Monday night, November 23, you won’t miss a thing!
