The schedule conspired to place Cover Tuesday on St. Patrick’s Day so we’re going with a green theme this month!

And more important than St. Patrick’s Day is the fact that March 17 is the 6th anniversary of my first live stream, waaay back in 2020. It’s the stream that started Cover Tuesday! I wanted to test out my streaming setup for my comedy variety show The Odd Rock Comedy Hour, which I was going to do virtually that Saturday, I joked on social media that I was going to do an hour of Monkees covers to annoy my neighbors, and someone said “you should live stream that.”
I did, and it turned out to be so much fun that I started doing covers every Tuesday through March of 2021. In 2022 I started doing it every other week, which I did for another full year. After the 2 year anniversary Cover Tuesday has been sporadic but I’ve been able to stick to a monthly schedule lately.
According to my files this will be the 81st Cover Tuesday, and the second time we’ve done the green theme. The first was during the holidays in 2020 when I did four consecutive weeks of holiday color themes: red, green, gold, and silver. I’ll repeat a few from that green show but I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how many other options there are out there. Get those requestions in!
