I’m excited to announce a new show I’m putting together that will be part variety show, part musical Talk Soup, with a comedic TED Talk thrown in for good measure.

Don’t Feed the Musicians will bring together comedians, musicians, videos and more to explore the comedic underbelly of all kinds of music—everything from Baroque to Bro-rock. Each show will feature songs, reviews of what’s on the charts, special guests and an exploration of a theme. It’s something a little different than shows I’ve done in the past and I’m really looking forward to it.

I’m also excited to be part of the inaugural month of programming at a great new space called QED Astoria just outside of Manhattan in Astoria, Queens, the comedy bedroom community of NYC. It’s the brainchild of Kambri Crews, who ran PR at Comix in NYC and also created and ran their performance space Occi’s Lounge. She’s done an amazing job getting this space up and running in so short a time and I can’t wait to be a part of it.

There’s a facebook event here if you’re into the facebook kind of thing, and all of the information is below. And, the first show will be FREE so all you have to do to make a reservation is “buy” a free ticket from the website.

Hope you can make it!
